Description
- Bill’s twist: Olave has stormed onto the international stage winning awards all across the globe. An excellent value. This is James Bond—clever and dapper without bravado. Always winning the prize.
About the estate: In 1996, the Chile-based, impressively-innovative (is the name missing?) Company began the production of high standard extra virgin organic olive oil. The basic genetic material was imported from Italy, Spain and Greece. From 1999 – 2002 over 210 hectares were planted. To obtain the highest quality product, the Company combined eight years of research, the best technology and product knowledge from Italy and Spain. The driving value is the organic agriculture: the harmonious correlation of environmental, genetic and agronomic factors.
Flavor style - Medium Spicy: Intense green color and shiny yellow reflections. In nose, it has expressive and intense fruity aromas of fresh cut herbs, evoking green tomatoes, artichokes, green almond and notes of bananas. In the mouth, it feels full-bodied with a medium and well-balanced bitter and peppery finish. Fresh, light with a persistent finish. The olive varieties are Frantoio, Leccino, Coratina, and Arbequina. This is a versatile, all-purpose EVOO.
